Check eligibility before paying

ACSM requires age 18 or older, a high-school diploma or equivalent, and adult CPR/AED. Mandatory first-aid training begins January 1, 2027, so candidates planning a later exam should check the updated requirements and course cost.

What can the total actually be?

For someone who already holds membership, the exam-only base is USD 310. A non-member pays USD 410. A new Alliance membership plus member exam is USD 420 (110 + 310), so that route costs more than the non-member exam if no other membership benefit is used. The checked non-member Prep Bundle + price is USD 609. Selected exam/bundle subtotals are USD 310–609 before CPR/AED and other extras, with the lower end requiring existing membership.

Costs that still need a quote

A complete all-in total was not found. Add the CPR/AED training you need, optional materials, taxes, delivery, travel, any retakes and future continuing education. Course choices and local fees vary; no amount has been inserted for an unknown cost. Renewal administration fees do not buy CEU/CEC courses.

Cost questions

Is membership the cheapest way to take ACSM-CPT?

Not solely for the current exam discount: new Alliance membership at USD 110 plus the USD 310 member exam totals USD 420, compared with USD 410 for the non-member exam. Existing members have a different starting cost.

Do the ACSM bundles include the exam?

Yes. Both the Prep Bundle and Prep Bundle + include the ACSM-CPT exam. The second bundle also includes a practice exam. Their displayed reduced prices can change.

How much is ACSM-CPT renewal?

The current renewal administration fee is USD 60 for a three-year cycle with 45 CECs and current CPR. Continuing education, CPR and any newly required training are additional costs.
